First, your essentials
Every selected must-have is a filter. A children’s club may be a ski-school programme; ski-in / ski-out applies to selected accommodation. Facilities may have minimum ages, guest restrictions and limited sessions. Open the source notes on each result, then confirm directly.
The beginner area mattersA magic carpet and a fenced beginner area make the first days easier for small children.
Then, the fit
We compare budget tiers, mapped terrain for your children’s ski levels, non-ski activities and childcare provision. February suitability is a planning judgement, not a snow guarantee. Resorts need at least 50 points; equal scores sort by resort name. We return up to three, without filling empty places with weak matches.
What the cost includes
The range adds return travel from the UK, accommodation, lift passes, children’s lessons and equipment rental. It uses published model assumptions, not live supplier quotes. Food, insurance, adult lessons and childcare are extra.
| Adult lift pass | £40 to £65 |
|---|---|
| Child lift pass | £22 to £42 |
| Adult rental | £16 to £26 |
| Child rental | £10 to £18 |
| Children’s ski school | £35 to £65 |
| Accommodation, per person per night | £45 to £95 |
Tier multipliers are 0.8, 1, 1.3 and 1.7; selected half-term weeks add 20% to accommodation and flights. Return flights with bags and transfers allow £180 to £420 per person; driving allows £450 to £900 per vehicle of up to five. These are original planning assumptions, not sourced market prices.
Non-skiing adults have no ski costs, and children under three have no ski costs. Confirm any free-pass age and package conditions before you book.
